AIDS 2011: I am helping to GET ZERO!!!!

Finally, the bright sun shined kicking the dawn to mark 1st December. Not to celebrate birthday not for party, its time to wake up. Wake up call to all the people to unite against the incurable disease. Incurable in the sense; scientists are still busy finding its cure. Not found yet.  But its epidemics, not ready to gear down despite the huge effort, spreading day by day, from blood to blood. Finally it’s a day to say proudly that I'm virus free and continue to be. Finally it’s a day to unite to say PLHA are the part of our society, we are living and will be living together with the sense of best cooperation, love and harmony, kicking discrimination, diminishing biases and revitalizing their hope to life. Whatever the figures are and were, we should be committed, from this time and onwards, to put efforts to subtract those figures, to minimize its epidemic ravaged our life.
Death is sure and certain. Neither we can modify nor prevent it from happening. The only thing is its time period.  So discriminating those people in the name of HIV is indeed a cruel act, inhumane act. So, it’s a day to unite our sound against those discriminations, against those acts.  Helping other people in need is indeed a real religious act. It’s an only key to open the door of heaven.  We know, prevention is better than cure, & its cent percent sure nobody wants to die and nobody wants to grow up with HIV in blood. But there's no alternative, no choice once HIV trespasses into our blood. And it's sure I and almost we love our life, and want to live our life to fullest. It's sure the person shatters emotionally and immunologically after hearing, knowing that his blood has been infected, and there is no any panacea discovered yet to cure it. So it’s a day to unite our hands to revive their smiles on the face, to renovate their shattered hopes, to shape and pave their bright future ahead. It’s a day to announce, it’s a day to declare having HIV in the blood is not the end of life, is not the end of hopes but indeed it’s an opening of new life, a new birth. The only difference is the composition of the blood; only difference is the addition of HIV to WBC, RBC, Plasma and Platelets. But still, the outer world was same, is same and will be same.
Once I was sitting near by a blind man. Few people, side by him, were putting forth their quest regarding his condition, regarding how he lost his sight. And my ears were close to them. I still remember one thing said by him "the color of this world is black to me, in black there is no discrimination, no biases. And I have no disregard whether my wife is beautiful or not, I haven’t seen her yet. I love her & will be. If I could forget this real truth that I am blind, then I could be the happiest man in this world." So today is that day, it’s a day to excavate the ideas, options necessary to remove the real truth from the mind of PLHA that "HIV circulates in the blood." If we are success over this arena, if we are success to prevent the thoughts coming to conscious mind that HE, SHE, THEY are infected with HIV, there's no need to invest huge expenses over the search of HIV remedy. It will be the best remedy. So it’s a day to generate new concepts to heal the pain of PLHA for the remaining 364 days.
Celebrating AIDS day is not just donning red ribbon, chanting AIDS slogan, doing MARCH Pass disturbing whole traffic of city to show the extent of our awareness. We just have to go beyond the boarders of discrimination, beyond the boarders of formality; we just have to land in the ground of truth in helping those people, PLHA, being sincere first to your soul then to the entire world. Be safe and help others to remain safe. It’s the real celebration of AIDS day. Let's celebrate AIDS day for the whole year.
"GETTIG TO ZERO” ZERO NEW INFECTIONS, ZERO DISCRIMINATION AND ZERO AIDS RELATED DEATHS.
